Your sounds never leave your device

Ringtonius reads the songs, videos, voice memos and recordings you choose, and trims and encodes them using your iPhone's built-in audio frameworks. Everything is read and written only on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your audio.

Microphone and photo library

The microphone is used only while you record a tone in the app. The photo library is used only to read the sound from a video you pick. Both are optional and can be turned off in Settings.

No account

The app has no sign-up and no login. We don't collect your name, email or phone number.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Apple shares anonymized sales reports with us.

Diagnostics

If you've opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymous crash and usage data.

This website

This site doesn't use advertising cookies. The free ringtone checker runs in your browser and doesn't upload your file.

If enabled, we use PostHog to count anonymous page views, scroll depth, clicks on App Store buttons and page speed, so we can improve our guides. It's configured without cookies or persistent identifiers and doesn't record sessions. This applies to the website only; the app has no analytics.
